Rotary evaporator

The Strike Rotary Evaporator is suitable for laboratory-scale evaporation or larger industrial-scale use.

Each evaporator comes standard with safety features including anti-implosion, plastic-coated safety glassware with optional plastic coating for the cooler and collecting flask; a safety protective hood which provides the user with the necessary protection from the breakage of glass parts during vacuum evaporation process; and a vacuum and solvent tight seal — a mechanical sealing system which forms a vacuum tight seal with no use of gaskets and also prevents solvent from leaking into the working environment.

There is no maintenance needed on the evaporators.

The Strike 300 also has an easy-to-use, touch-screen interface, powered glassware lifting and a removable bath for easy cleaning.

The rotary evaporator has a microprocessor-controlled digital set-up and display of the temperature of the heating bath ranging from 0 to 100 °C, ±0.2 °C accuracy, ±1 °C readings (an optional version with an oil bath can reach 160 °C).

The microprocessor-controlled digital set-up and display of the evaporation flask rotation speed ranging from 0 to 200 rpm and can be set with 1 rpm accuracy.

A standard RS 232 serial port makes it possible to link up the instrument to a PC or printer for operating data memorisation in compliance with GLP. The large dimensions of the bath permit the use of evaporation flasks with 550-3000 mL capacities.

Options include a sensor for vacuum level display reading in mbar and a sensor for condensing steam temperature display reading among others.
