Seminar on manufacturing foods for infants and toddlers
The Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST), in collaboration with CSIRO’s food innovation centre, is holding a seminar titled ‘Foods for infants and toddlers’.
The market for infant and toddler foods has experienced significant growth in recent times. Many manufacturers are keen to enter the sector but may not have the expertise or understand the requirements for such a highly regulated market.
The seminar will provide information and discuss considerations when producing foods for the infant and toddler markets.
The program will cover:
- infant and toddler nutrition
- regulatory requirements for formulas and products
- sensory and food preferences
- manufacturing foods for infants and toddlers
- food safety aspects of foods for three-year-olds and under
- tracking and tracing ingredients — where they come from and how to control this.
The seminar will be held on 31 May 2016 at the Australian Synchrotron in Melbourne.
