Requiring only a minimal floor space, it also eliminates the rinsing process. Bullet-shaped blanks go in at one end and emerge as filled and capped bottles of any size from 4 to 10 L. This combined system is suitable for cold-filled water or oils.

Other SMI systems create practically any size and shape of bottle, then fill and cap via separate modules, including hot fillers or pasteurisers.
