The GT2 tray sealer is used to reduce waste in soft fruit packaging, while also delivering energy savings, reliable performance and cost efficiency.
By using film instead of clip-on lids, less packaging material is required, which consequently reduces the amount of packaging waste.
Proseal’s tooling also includes Close Cut Technology, which is claimed to save up to an extra 11% in reduced film waste. In addition, film is said to be applied faster and more cost-effectively.
Using Proseal’s lightweight and high-strength Auto Tool connection system, which enables tool changes to be carried out in around 3 min, downtime is minimal, with self-centring pack guides and servocontrolled tray movements ensuring that production is up and running quickly after a tool change.
Also available is the faster GT2 Twin model, which provides an extra 33%+ in throughput.
The GT range of machinery incorporates Proseal’s Eco Seal System, which has been developed in association with the Carbon Trust and is claimed to offer a total energy saving of up to 65%.
