Bosch Packaging Technology biscuit packaging line

Thursday, 12 June, 2014 | Supplied by: Bosch Rexroth Pty Ltd

Bosch Packaging Technology has released a biscuit packaging line which is capable of fast slug to pile changeovers with the same feeding components.

The line is capable of product count changes in less than a minute, which the company says is the fastest rate currently available on the market. The system can produce multiple packaging variations and can handle different biscuit types and shapes.

Case packing can be adjusted to the required format and product configuration and products can be supplied flat or on edge. Products can be packaged into regular or half slotted cases and various case closing options are available. The case-erecting, robotic-loading and case-closing units are integrated in the case packer, which results in a compact machine design. The system can be configured to accommodate various factory layouts.

The line uses amplified heat seal technology which runs at film speeds up to 80 m/min, which the company says is nearly double the film speed of existing technology.

The biscuit line incorporates gentle product handling technology to decrease product breakage, waste and clean up, and also features three-dimensional product inspection technology to reject broken biscuits.
