APS has expanded its ink range for non-porous date coding applications which are suitable for confectionary manufacturers, ice-cream and snack food industries.
The expanded ink supply for the Apsolute thermal inkjet (TIJ) printer is suitable for non-porous materials such as BOPP and other film materials, varnished cartons and plastics; all porous surfaces can also be coded with the large range of inks available.
The ink range has expanded from traditional black to include a range of colours that can provide quicker drying time with good adhesion. The colour palette includes both alcohol and water-based inks.
In industrial environments, inks must possess short drying times under high production rates, strong adhesion to porous and non-porous surfaces, and high contrast and sharpness. All these issues are addressed with the range of thermal inkjet inks.
All the inks are developed and tested in APS’s German headquarters often to individual specifications.
