Non-hydraulic pallet inverter

King Materials Handling has developed an electromechanical method of opening and closing the clamps and rotating the load to create a non-hydraulic pallet inverter. Auto pressure load sensing, slow start and stop rotation, and a large aperture with a 1500 kg payload are key features.

A PLC handles all the functions, along with coordination of external safety switching and an in-built facility to handle remote control operation.

Food manufacturers will benefit if the risks of leaking fluids and product contamination are eliminated.

The ability to see under the bottom layer by inverting the load offers an additional safeguard against product contamination. At that point, the load can be transferred to a plastic pallet for food production or on to an in-house pallet, so that the hired pallet can be returned.

Automated warehouses especially need to have a pallet inverter installed, so that broken pallets can be taken out of the system.
