Entries open for Label Industry Global Awards
Entries are now open for the 2015 Label Industry Global Awards. To be held on 29 September as part of Labelexpo Europe in Brussels, four awards over three categories are up for grabs.
The R Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to an industry luminary who has been involved in the label sector for at least 25 years and has made a significant contribution to the sector. Previous recipients include Suzanne Zaccone of GSI Technologies, Tomas Rink of Ritrama, Steve Lee of RotoMetrics, Lars Eriksen of Nilpeter and Neil McDonough of FLEXcon.
Two Awards for Innovation will also be presented: one for companies with 300+ employees and one for companies with fewer than 300 employees. Entries need to be for a specific innovation introduced by a supplier/converter company during 2014 and can either be technology related (such as a new press or material) or be a business product, practice or process that improves sustainability or customer service.
The Award for Sustainability will be presented to a company that best demonstrates how it has introduced a specific product or process and maintained the most sustainable and environmentally acceptable working practices into its purchasing and manufacturing operations in 2014.
“The Label Industry Global Awards shine a light on the outstanding work of label industry suppliers and converters, and the people working for them. Not only does being shortlisted and winning give entrants enormous exposure, it can boost confidence in their business and even aids wider industry best practice,” said Mike Fairley, chair of the judges.
“There is no shortage of originality and brilliance in our sector and I deeply encourage those working within our industry to think about and enter the great work, innovation and impact they’ve achieved in the past year.”
Entry is free and submissions must be received by Wednesday, 27 May. Short-listed finalists will be announced in June. For more details and to enter, visit www.labelawards.com.
