Bühler to host 'virtual exhibition booth'
The interpack trade show in Düsseldorf, Germany, has been postponed to mitigate the risk of spreading the coronavirus (COVID-19). Originally scheduled from 7–13 May 2020, Bühler will instead be carrying out a virtual interpack from 11–15 May 2020, under the motto ‘Creating food sensations’, with digital showrooms, chats and webinars to present its latest technologies and solutions.
“The current challenges require us to explore new ways of reaching out and preparing for the future. In this case by running events digitally and discovering the potential of virtual events,” said Germar Wacker, CEO of Bühler’s Consumer Foods business.
Bühler plans to invite everyone who had planned to attend its interpack tradeshow in Düsseldorf to its virtual booth online.
At interpack, Bühler had planned to showcase its full range of processing solutions along the entire value chain. Sustainable innovations that help reduce waste, water and energy usage in the bakery, chocolate, confectionery and roasting industries would also have been presented at interpack, to encourage visitors to contribute to a better future.
“There are so many challenges and opportunities in the consumer foods market today that deserve new solutions. We want to invite all our customers to explore these solutions in a completely new, virtual format which also allows for individual discussion,” Wacker said.
Since the previous interpack three years ago, Bühler has invested in innovation to meet the growing requirements of the market and of its customers; for example, with higher energy-efficient solutions and less waste.
Bühler will welcome customers in a virtual space from 11–15 May 2020; further information will be available soon.
