Pro-Pac to acquire Start Food Tech
Pro-Pac Packaging has announced it will purchase the business and assets of Start Food-Tech Australia (SFT), a national supplier of packaging consumables and products to the meat, chicken and fish processing industries.
SFT’s current annual revenue is approximately $11 million. Pro-Pac says the company has a strong management team and a range of agencies, products and customers that will complement those of Pro-Pac.
SFT’s warehousing and logistics will be integrated into Pro-Pac’s existing distribution centre, while the SFT business will operate as a separate focused sales unit.
“The purchase of this business provides Pro-Pac with further critical mass in this strategic growth area,” said Pro-Pac CEO Brandon Penn. “There are particularly good cross-selling opportunities and beneficial logistics and distribution synergies.”
