Restaurants and seafood to feature at foodservice show

Thursday, 03 November, 2016

Australian hospitality trade show Foodservice Australia will bring the National Restaurant Conference to Melbourne for the first time in 2017, as well as a new event, the Australian Seafood Summit.

Both one-day conferences will be held as part of the show, which runs from 28–30 May 2017. With over 250 exhibitors under one roof, visitors can see food and beverage products, kitchen equipment, hospitality technology, entertainment, furniture, fittings and more.

The National Restaurant Conference is aimed at restaurateurs, managers and professional chefs, and will cover issues that affect day-to-day operations and profitability — such as attracting and retaining quality staff, harnessing the power of technology and workable ways to cut costs and boost profits.

The Australian Seafood Summit is jointly organised with the Association of International Seafood Professionals (AISP) and will present a global outlook of ideas about best practice in the seafood supply chain, from ocean to plate. Topics will include foodservice trends in seafood, food safety, sustainability and supply issues, as well as profitable and innovative ways to serve fish.

The fishy theme will continue in the nearby Seafood Showcase, which will feature suppliers in the sector.
