Online food ordering app launches at Australian theme parks
Theme park visitors will be able to skip the food queues this summer after Australian start-up and mobile commerce technology company AirService partnered with Village Roadshow Theme Parks (VRTP) to provide its mobile ordering and virtual queuing solution across the group’s Australian theme parks.
Gotham City restaurant at Warner Bros. Movie World is the first of VRTP’s venues at to use the Village-branded, AirService-powered eServe app. The app will be made available at another Movie World restaurant, as well as Wet’n’Wild’s Gold Coast and Sydney locations.
At Wet’n’Wild Sydney the eServe app will be available at the theme park’s Premium Lounge, where it will be used as an ordering and delivery service, allowing guests to order and pay for food, which will then be delivered directly to their private cabana.
“Imagine you’re a family out at the theme park. Instead of standing in a queue with your young children and missing out on all the fun of Movie World, you just make an order and continue to enjoy the rides and entertainment until your food is ready to pick up,” AirService co-founder and CEO Dominic Bressan said.
