World dairy experts to gather in Copenhagen for conference

Registration is now open for the International Dairy Federation's World Dairy Conference, due to be held in Copenhagen. Up to 350 people will be able to attend in person and hundreds more can attend online. The conference, organised by the Danish Dairy Board, will run from the 13–15 October.

The agenda is concentrated on how the dairy industry is approaching climate change and how political and economic conditions impact climate goals around the world. Speeches will be given by various government and industry members including CEOs from a number of dairy companies showcasing their visions of how they will provide nutritious and sustainable dairy products.

The core of the three-day conference will be a wide range of dairy-related presentations and debates in six sessions with the following headlines: Food Safety, Processing & Technology, Sustainable Diets, Farming, Politics & Economics and Marketing. These sessions will all involve the central theme of ‘A Changing Climate for Dairy’.

IDF Director General, Caroline Emond said: “We look forward to connecting with our worldwide dairy community at the IDF Global Dairy Conference 2021 in Copenhagen and virtually. The cancellation of the IDF World Dairy Summit 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult and we are thankful to our colleagues in Denmark for accepting to host this year’s event, which will give us the opportunity to share the latest on dairy and discuss the challenges and opportunities for our sector.”
