The Multiscan Series 3000 Food Analyser offers rapid analysis of food and food ingredients based on a diode array near infrared transmission spectrometer. The Series 3000 uses a rotating dish to collect scans from a sample of food by passing NIR light through the sample.
The Series 3000 has a built-in touch screen and PC. Running a program called Analysis, the system’s operation is simple and effective offering the power of a Windows-based software package where spectra, trend plots and running tables are displayed directly on the screen. Data can be easily stored and transferred to other computers.
At a compact 450 x 300 mm and with a front-loading sample draw to ensure minimal space required, the rotating sample drawer of the Multiscan Series 3000 can collect up to 30 scans from a sample with either a 5 or 10 mm pathlength or a 90 mm diameter petri dish. NTAS chemometrics software suite is included in the system and calibrations are installed for many common food products.
The Series 3000 Food Analyser is suited to measuring protein, moisture and fat in foods that contain high levels of water and fat, including raw and processed meats, cheese, cream, yoghurt, ice-cream, confectionery and fondants.
It can be used for powders such as milk powder, flour, cornstarch, sugar and other opaque powders, as well as a range of other components that can also be measured using this Series 3000.
