Poultry producer up for sale
Poultry producer Inghams will soon be up for sale. Sole shareholder Bob Ingham says he has decided to sell the business after long and careful consideration.
“My decision marks the next phase for the successful ongoing development of the company and is one that I, as sole shareholder, have considered for a number of years,” Ingham said.
Investec Bank (Australia) will manage the sale and is seeking a suitable buyer for the business from a range of potential bidders. Investec anticipates the sale process will take several months.
The company’s day-to-day operations will continue as normal throughout the sale process and will continue to be overseen by CEO Kevin McBain.
Founded in 1918, Ingham’s is reported to be the largest integrated poultry producer in Australasia, posting $2 billion in sales in 2012.
